ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Ector County jury found Salvador Becerra, 31, not guilty of sexual assault Friday night after deliberating for about four hours.
The former Odessa Police officer was also found not guilty on one count of improper sexual activity with a person in custody. He was convicted on five counts of the same felony.
Becerra was fired from the police department in March 2014 after he was accused of touching women's breasts during traffic stops and coercing one woman to perform oral sex on him.
He was later indicted on six counts of improper sexual activity with a person in custody and one count of sexual assault.
Sentencing is scheduled for Monday in Judge James Rush's 244th District Court, defense attorney Justin Low confirmed.
