Hobbs Man Accused of Defrauding Bank

HOBBS, NM (KWES) -

A man in Hobbs, New Mexico was arrested in connection to defrauding a bank.

Paul Litty opened an account at Pioneer Bank with $50.

He then cashed four false checks at different times.

The amount of the checks totaled to $3,600.

It is suspected Litty targeted bank tellers with little experience.

The man says his intentions were to pay the bank back.

Litty was arrested about a week ago and is facing four charges of fraud and conspiracy.
