UPDATE: Man Behind Bars Following Officer-Involved Shooting

BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) -

One man is behind bars following an officer-involved shooting in Big Spring on Thursday night.

According to the report, a domestic disturbance between two men, Manuel Lozano Junior, 72, and Manuel Romero Lozano, III, 43, quickly became physical.

Police say Lozano cut Manuel with a knife and continued to fight with police.

An officer fired off rounds to eliminate the immediate threat and :Lozano was struck in the hand.

Manuel Lozano Junior was taken to University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock and is currently listed in stable condition. 

Manuel Romero Lozano was treated and released from University Medical Center Hospital in Lubbock.

Manuel Lozano has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
