ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Ector County jury convicted a man accused of leading officers on a chase then getting into a shootout.
36-year-old David Baca was found guilty of aggravated assault on a public servant.
He, along with Cameron Marson, are accused of leading officers on a chase back in October of 2013.
It started as a high speed chase in Andrews County on Highway 385 that stopped at the Ector-Andrews County line.
The pair were stopped in oncoming traffic.
The report says both men got out of the car and started shooting.
Marson was shot.
Investigators say Baca hijacked a car with two people inside and led police on another chase.
He came to a stopping point and got into a shootout with officers.
Both suspects were injured during the gunfire before surrendering.
