Reeves County Inmate Escapes From Hospital, Quickly Apprehended

REEVES COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

A Reeves County inmate was quickly apprehended after escaping from the Reeves County Hospital on Tuesday night.

The Reeves County Sheriff’s Office tells NewsWest 9, 26-year-old Bryant Paul Winfrey, who was behind bars for theft, was undergoing medical observation when he somehow exited his room and walked out of the hospital.

Thanks to the quick response of Reeves County Sheriff Deputies and Pecos Police, Winfrey was apprehended about 10 minutes later.

Authorities are investigating how Winfrey was able to leave his room and the hospital.
