Crash Causes Brief Power Outage at Permian High School

Permian High School was without power for a little while on Tuesday morning.

Power was restored around 9:30 a.m. and classes and state testing resumed shortly after.

The outage was caused by an accident in the 3600 block of East Everglade.

Police say a Ford pickup, driven by 18-year-old Tylar Clark, was speeding north in an alley.

The pickup then hit a power pole and school fence.

There were no injuries reported.

Clark was ticketed for failing to control speed.
