A Midland man was hauled off to jail after getting into a scuffle with a police officer.
The arrest affidavit says 55-year-old Grady Steen had been drinking.
He cares for his mother during the day and when he went inside, the home nurse was there.
Steen told her, they didn't need her help.
He then shoved his mother's bed against the wall and laughed and made derogatory comments at her.
Police say the nurse called 911.
When officers got there, Steen was sitting in the car drinking a beer.
They told him to get out and when he did, the report says he became aggressive.
A fight broke out and Steen was eventually put into handcuffs.
The report says he refused to get inside the patrol car and kicked the officer.
Steen's charged with assault on a public servant.
