Lockdown Lifted After Bomb Threat at Midland Memorial Hospital

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

A bomb threat forced Midland Memorial Hospital to go into lockdown on Wednesday.

Hospital officials say it was called in around 2 p.m.

Right after, the hospital went into lockdown and people could leave the building but no one could get in.

The lockdown lasted close to two hours.

Hospital police searched the area but didn't find any explosives.

Midland Police were notified about it and were put on standby but were later called off.

The lockdown has since been lifted.

No word on who called in the threat and what efforts were made to find that person.
