With the holiday season in full swing, one local organization is doing their best to make sure families have food on their plate.
It’s been hard for some families to put food on the table but members of the West Texas Food Bank have been working diligently, supplying emergency kits for families in need.
Development Director Tina Corbett says there are other ways to help the food bank during these tough times.
"Just volunteering with emergency food boxes that we're trying to distribute. it increases the workload here at the food bank and we're trying to process the food as quickly as possible when it's being donated. Then also being able to distribute that out. So volunteering is just a huge help for the food bank as well," said Corbett.
