Two Men Arrested in Connection With Shots Fired Call

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Two men are behind bars in connection with a shots fired call on Wednesday.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest9, they were called out to the Great Value Inn in the 6700 block of East Business 20 in reference to an aggravated assault.

When officers arrived, they made contact with three victims, who reported that they were at the Stripes, located at Faudree and Highway 191, when a blue Chevy Tahoe pulled up and started a verbal argument.

According to the report, as the three victims were traveling southbound on Faudree, the front right passenger of the Tahoe pulled out a handgun and fired several shots towards their vehicle.

The driver of the Tahoe fled the scene.

After further investigation, officers saw a bullet hole in the rear of the victim’s vehicle along with bullet shrapnel.

An attempt to locate was put out on the suspect’s vehicle and an officer later found a vehicle in the 1700 block of West 8th Street.

The driver was identified as Logan McKeever, 18 and a passenger in the vehicle was identified as Austin Gray, 17.

A show-up was conducted and the victims were able to positively identify the men as being involved.

Authorities say McKeever told detectives that while Gray was driving the vehicle, he pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the victim’s vehicle.

McKeever and Gray have been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
