Petition Started to Replace Midland High Football Head Coach

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

Parents at a Midland High School are looking to make a very big change to its athletic program.

A petition called "Bulldogs For Change" has started.

In only four days, it has over 100 supporters.

The petition is an effort to replace Midland High School's Head Football Coach, Craig Yenzer.

Yenzer was named the head football coach back in 2002.

Parents are upset the bulldogs have had consecutive seasons with very few games won and are "underachieving."

NewsWest9 reached out to Midland I.S.D. Superintendent, Dr. Ryder Warren, and his statement is as follows, "We welcome any parent or community member if they have concerns about any of our athletic programs to set up a meeting with our Executive Director of Athletics, Mr. Randy Rowe. It will never be the practice of this school district to allow any form of a petition to influence decisions regarding personnel."
