Howard College has lost a longtime member and friend.
Dr. Charles Warren passed away peacefully on Wednesday at his home in Big Spring.
He was part of the college's board of trustees for 52 years.
Warren holds the record for the longest tenure among community college board members.
He has served as chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and also as a board representative on each of the three campus Howard College Foundation boards.
