ECISD Holding Public Meetings on Extracurricular Activities

ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

Ector County School District will be reevaluating extracurricular activities.

Districts are required to evaluate themselves in nine areas of school activities, as part of House Bill 5.

Some of those activities include fine arts, health and physical education.

ECISD is asking the public to help set the standards for those evaluations.

There will meetings the public can attend to help.

The first meeting is Thursday night at Milam Elementary, and the second will be next Thursday, November 12, at Ector Middle School.

The last meeting will be held on November 19 at West Elementary.

All meetings will begin from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Attendees will be asked to join one of nine subcommittees to begin work.
