UPDATE: Deceased Infant's Name Released

Police are searching for a cause after an infant was declared dead at Lorlee's Childcare on Madera Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - The name of the infant found dead at Lorlee's Childcare has been released.

At 3:21 on Tuesday afternoon, Odessa Police responded to the in-home daycare on Madera Avenue, where they found 4-month-old Jeremiah Garza dead.

The cause of death is currently unknown, but an autopsy will be performed in Tarrant County.

The investigation continues.

Investigators are working out of a mobile crime lab and a portion of Madera Avenue has been blocked off with police tape.

A woman was seen running into the home, crying and demanding answers.

It's still unclear what happened before the four-month-old baby was found dead at the daycare.

The child's name and gender have not been released, and the official cause of death has yet to be determined.

When detectives were first called out to the scene Tuesday afternoon, they were told the baby was unconscious, and it was unclear what time the child died.

NewsWest9 has not yet spoken with anyone from the daycare and is still working to confirm details from neighbors and other parents.
