Odessa Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa woman is behind bars after police say she stabbed her boyfriend.

Police responded to the Woodview Apartments on North Grandview Avenue Monday night in reference to a stab victim.

When police arrived, they spoke with the victim, who said his girlfriend, Maria Williams, 20, had stabbed him.

Williams and her boyfriend had reportedly gotten into an argument in the parking lot of the apartment complex. That's when police say Williams grabbed a pocketknife and began it towards her boyfriend.

Williams' boyfriend attempted to dodge the knife but was struck on the left hand and right arm.

Police say he then ran into his apartment and tried to close the door, but before he could, Williams blocked the door from being closed.

Three of the boyfriend's friends then pushed Williams out of the doorway and closed the apartment door.

Police found Williams inside a white pickup truck and arrested her.
Williams was charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
