Voting Centers in Place for Ector County Voters

Election Day is on Tuesday and voters in Ector County will be able to do something different this election.

They'll be able to cast their ballots outside of their precinct.

This year, the county put in 17 new polling stations throughout the area.

The Commissioner’s Court and the Secretary of State had to approve the voting centers.

This is the first year something like this has been done and officials say they can't wait to see the turnout.

"We are very excited about it and I believe that voters will like it. There's no wrong place to vote. You can just go to any vote center located throughout the county," said Mitzi Scheible, Ector County Elections Administrator.

Curbside voting will still be offered at all locations for those who cannot physically enter the polling location.

The new polling locations will be open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
