Man Accused of Resisting Arrest, Threatening Police

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa man was arrested after police say he tried to fight them and threatened their families.

Police pulled over Hector Galindo-Olivas, 26, in the 2500 block of East 8th Street for speeding just after midnight Thursday morning.

Police say he smelled of booze and had bloodshot eyes.

Officers asked Galindo-Olivas to get out of his car and perform sobriety tests, but he refused to do so, and then rolled up his windows and locked his doors.

The police report says officers ended up busting out Galindo-Olivas' window.

Galindo-Olivas reportedly told the officers "When I get out, I will kill you and your family."

After a short scuffle, police tased and arrested Galindo-Olivas. He was charged with assault on a public servant, terroristic threats, and resisting arrest.
