Two Men Burglarize FIrehouse Subs in Odessa

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Odessa Police say two suspects broke into the vacant business adjacent to Firehouse Subs to gain access to the restaurant. They got in undetected and left with a safe. The break-in happened sometime around 3 A.M. Friday morning.

When Odessa officers arrived they found an open door to a business next to Firehouse Subs. The dry wall was kicked in exposing an entrance to the restaurant next door.

Police say surveillance video shows two men dressed in dark clothing entering the restaurant, but the alarm didn't go off until they exited the building.

"They made a hole in the wall. They went in the through the hole into Firehouse, and then they rolled the safe out through the back door and when they went out the back door, that was the first time that the alarm went off," said Steve LeSueur of the Odessa Police Department.

If you have any information, police really want to hear from you. Give Odessa Police Crime Stoppers a call at (432)-333-TIPS.

More than half of the 17 people killed when a tourist boat sank on a Branson lake were members of the same Indiana family, and they likely wouldn't have been on the ill-fated trip but for a ticket mix-up.
