Flooding Destroys Midland Storage Shed

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Sharee Robinson has lived at the Fountains at Waterford Apartments in Midland for five years. She claims heavy flooding has been a problem in the past.

"At the end of September, it flooded like this again and my storage building is right around that corner and all of my stuff is gone," she said. "It's mildewy and they didn't warn me that it was flooded out."

Midland saw about two and a half inches of rain overnight, which hit Robinson's patio and storage shed hard.

"My front porch just floods," says Robinson. "There is a little lake there and nobody can get out, nobody can get in."

She bought the storage shed in September and inside is memorabilia from her days from the Navy which she says is "just irreplaceable."

"I've had it estimated and they just said everything was totaled out. And you know, I mean, that's like six thousand dollars worth of damage in that storage building."
