The Permian Basin played host to a state lawmaker.
Senator Kel Seliger was in Martin, Glasscock and Howard Counties on Wednesday.
He made the stops for town hall sessions where he talked about some big topics and commented on why it's important to have these town hall meetings.
"I think public communication is essential. That's why I've held over 330 town hall meetings, going all over a district that's the size of the state of Indiana, to see what the people think. I work for them," said Seliger.
