ODESSA, TX (KWES)
Betenbough Homes and the City of Odessa are trying to stop poverty.
A groundbreaking was held on Wednesday for a brand new home on East 92nd Street.
But this isn't your ordinary home; all proceeds from the home will go towards “Home International.”
It's an organization working to put an end to poverty in third world countries.
"The neat thing is people in third world countries have a hard time getting loans and so this organization goes to them and walks them through getting a loan and that takes them out of poverty for their family and ends the cycle of poverty. So, we love to partner with organizations like that,” said Katherine Miller, Sales Manager with Betenbough Homes.
