HOWARD COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Howard County and City of Big Spring authorities responded to a barn fire around 5:30 Wednesday morning in the 500 block of Todd Road.
Firefighters were on the scene for over an hour.
The structure remains standing and the fire was put out, but all of the contents inside were destroyed.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital due to abdominal pains, which turned out to be a pulled muscle he sustained while fighting the fire. He has since been released.
Howard County Volunteer Fire Department says the cause of the fire appears to be due to welding work the property owner was conducting Tuesday evening inside the barn.
