UPDATE: More Details Emerge in Murder Suspect Arrest

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

New details in the arrest of Matthew John Armendariz, 34, have been released.
Odessa Police say Brandi Lee Levario, 24, was arrested along with Armendariz for manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.
In addition to the charge, Armendariz was also arrested for the outstanding murder warrant.
Today at approximately 1:08 p.m., Odessa Police noticed a black Camaro traveling in the area of University Boulevard and Dixie Avenue with an expired registration sticker.
A traffic stop was conducted in the 2700 block of North Dixie. The driver was identified as Levario and the front passenger as Armendariz.
When officers spoke with Levario, they say they could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the car. Police discovered Armendariz had a warrant out of Ector County for Murder “1st Degree Felony”. Officers searched Armendariz and found him to be in possession of approximately twelve grams of methamphetamine and two Xanax pills.
Officers searched the listed vehicle and also discovered a digital scale and a knife, both containing cocaine residue, and approximately 113 grams of methamphetamine.
Police also found $1,039 on Armendariz and discovered more cocaine between the driver’s seat and center console, weighing over one gram.
Both were arrested and charged accordingly.
