MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - On Tuesday, Midland Independent School District will celebrate "Pink-Out Day".
Many staff members and students will wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Many employees have purchased pink MISD Wellness t-shirts. Partial proceeds from the shirts go to breast cancer research.
Some MISD staff and students will also be observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the annual "Pink the Playground" event at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 23.
Pink the Playground will be at Travis Elementary School on East Gist Avenue.
Participants will donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of second-grade teacher Martha Enriquez, who is a breast cancer survivor.
