ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars after police say he gave them a false name.
Odessa Police responded to the 500 block of West 22nd Street at 2:30 Thursday morning in reference to a traffic hazard. They were told a tire and axle were in the roadway.
When officers arrived, they saw Luis Barron-Rivera, 21, walking over to the tire and say that he was intoxicated.
Barron-Rivera spoke with police and reportedly gave them a false name and date of birth.
After further investigation, Barron-Rivera's real name was revealed and police learned that he was a wanted out of Colorado for menacing-real/simulated weapon.
He was arrested and also charged for false identification.
