Laura Bush Literacy Program Reading Event to be Held in Midland

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

As a part of the Laura Bush Literacy Program, there will be a free reading event at the George Bush Childhood Home in Midland.

The event is open to children of all ages and begins at 4:30 p.m.

Several books will be read to the children, including "The Story of the Nutcracker Ballet", donated by Midland Festival Ballet.

Each child will receive a free copy of the book to take home.

The purpose of the Laura Bush Literacy Program is to foster love for reading in children.

Reading events are held at the George Bush Childhood Home every the third Thursday of every month.
