MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Two public meetings will be held this week to discuss "Tall City Tomorrow", a long-term plan that will set the course for Midland's future development.
The meetings come after citizens voiced their ideas for Midland's future. The final version of those ideas will be presented Tuesday evening at 5:30 at Abell Junior High School on Heritage Boulevard.
A second meeting is planned for Thursday at 5:30 in the evening at MLK Junior Community Center on Butternut Lane, where planners will discuss final plan elements and action items that will be included in "Tall City Tomorrow".
The plan will incorporate citizen comments from several workshops in the past and will also address land use, housing development, improvements to infrastructure, and recreational opportunities.
A draft plan will be presented to City Council in the next few months, followed by approval of a final plan.
