ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Two Odessans are behind bars after reports of a possible meth lab.
The Ector County Sheriff's Office responded to the 2700 block of Santa Monica in reference to the meth lab.
Deputies set up surveillance in the area and observed many cars arriving at and leaving the home in question.
After running the plates on one car, officers discovered the car had been reported stolen.
Officers say the driver of the car, Leslie Martin, 27, began unloading tolls from the car into the garage.
Officers got consent to search the home and meth was found, but officers did not find a lab. Officers found more meth, along with a handgun, after searching Martin's backpack.
Bailey Phillips, 21, was also at the home when officers arrived. She admitted she had stolen the car Martin was driving.
Both were arrested. Martin was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, and Phillips charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
