MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - With cooler temperatures approaching, Midland is working to help plants establish their roots before it's too late.
That's why the City of Midland's Parks and Recreation Division is inviting Midland residents out to help plant a fall landscape at Windlands Park on Saturday, October 10.
Professionals will be at the park, located on Dengar Avenue, from 9 a.m. to noon. They will be talking about good planting practices and how to give your landscape the best chance through the colder months.
Participants should bring gloves and a shovel, and wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
Each participant will receive a tree though a grant from the Texas A&M Forest Service so they can put their new skills to use at home.
