Midland Man Arrested, Accused of Indecency With a Child

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

A Midland man was arrested Monday after officers say he showed up at the police department regarding an investigation on him.

Police say the victim told them David Cortez, 31, came to her cousin's house back in July and touched her inappropriately.

The victim said she had to struggle to push Cortez off and that when he left her house, he told her the encounter would be their “little secret.”

Cortez admitted he knew the victim was underage but says she came on to him.

Cortez was arrested Monday for indecency with a child.
