Hobbs Police Searching For Shooting Suspect

HOBBS, NM (KWES) - Hobbs Police are searching for a suspect following an early morning shooting in Hobbs.

According to the Hobbs Police Department Facebook Page, officers were called out to Lea Regional Medical Center in reference to a gunshot victim early Sunday morning.

Police say investigators learned that Diana Perez, 30, of Hobbs, New Mexico, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest after a verbal argument with Oscar Estrella, 42, of Hobbs, New Mexico.

According to the report, Estrella fled the scene and is currently wanted for Aggravated Battery.

Perez was airlifted to a Lubbock Hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition.
