Odessa Traffic Stop Leads to Cocaine Bust

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One Odessa man is behind bars on drug charges following a traffic stop.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest9, officers saw a black Chevrolet truck traveling in the 1200 block of East 2nd Street without any license plate lights early Sunday morning.

Officers pulled over the vehicle and the driver was identified as Anthony Starling, 40.

Police say an investigation revealed that Starling had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and that Starling threw a can of snuff out of the window as he was being pulled over.

According to the report, the can contained several crack rocks.

Starling later admitted to officers that he threw the can out the window. Police say they also found $545 in cash which Starling also admitted was from selling narcotics.

Starling has been charged with manufacture or delivery of cocaine and for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
