Police: Counterfeit Bills Being Used at Various Odessa Game Rooms

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Odessa Police are warning residents and businesses about counterfeit bills being used at various game rooms.

According to a release from the Odessa Police Department, numerous reports have been filed, however, it has not been reported that the game rooms are involved in the laundering of the counterfeit bills.

Odessa Police are warning residents that passing a counterfeit bill is a felony in the State of Texas and you could be prosecuted at the federal level.

Authorities say the most popular bills being counterfeited are $100, $20 and $5.

Police say if you believe you may have a fake bill, you can go to the Odessa Police Department and ask to speak with an officer about the bill.
