NewsWest9 has new information on the 17-year-old student accused of bringing a gun to school.
Midland Police arrested Juan Dominguez on Thursday, September 24, at Premier High School in the 4300 block of West Illinois Avenue.
The arrest warrant says a teacher noticed Dominguez sitting in the cafeteria with his hand in his pocket.
The teacher asked him what was in his pocket. Dominguez asked to go to her office.
Once in the office, the teachers says Dominguez showed her the gun.
She took the weapon and locked it away.
The warrant also says Dominguez told police he was going to get "jumped" after school and had brought the gun for protection.
Officials say they recovered the gun, 22 caliber bullets and the magazine.
Dominguez is remains behind bars at Midland County Jail.
