Odessa Man Arrested After "Suspicious Activity" Call

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

One man is behind bars following a “suspicious activity” call on Monday morning.

Odessa Police were called out to the 900 block of East Monahans just before 8:30 a.m.

According to the report, dispatch reported that occupants of a white and gray Jeep were possibly smoking crack cocaine.

Officers arrived on the scene and found the Jeep with one person inside.

Police say the person inside the vehicle first game a false name and a white rock like substance was in plain view.

That substance later tested positive for cocaine and more small crack rocks were found in the vehicle.

The man, who was later identified as Robert White, Jr., 48, was taken into custody and charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony – parole violation (warrant), possession of cocaine and false identification-fugitive from justice.

White is currently behind bars at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
