MIDLAND, TX (KWES)
The Midland Center is in dire need of a revamp.
Officials say the current building is 35-years-old and they're biggest problem is space.
Right now, the building is a little more than 12,000 square feet and they say they need at least 20,000 square feet.
Now, it's taken a toll on business.
“We lose a lot of events. We've lost over $2.5 million over the past three years just because we don't have the space. People want to come downtown. They want to be in the heart of what's going on in Midland, but we just don't have the space for it," said Brad Barnett, Vice President of the Midland Center.
The Midland Center is in talks with their architect about redesigning the facility.
