Former Big Bend Region Teacher, Coach Charged With Theft

A former coach and teacher in the Big Bend Region is in jail.

Tony Timmons is charged with theft of a generator during an emergency.

District Attorney Rod Ponton says he's scheduled for trial next month in Fort Davis.

The Jeff Davis County Mountain Dispatch is reporting that Timmons was a teacher and coach in Alpine, Valentine and Fort Davis.

He's the current State Director of Officials for the University Interscholastic League.

The Mountain Dispatch says Timmons lives in Austin right now and has filed a $10,000 personal recognizance bond in Travis County.
