Odessa First Responders Participate in New York Stair Climb

It's been a day of remembrance across the country and here locally too.

A number of first responders in Odessa got the chance to be in New York on Friday for the first ever Central New York Memorial Stair Climb.

Odessa firefighters Monty Couch, Travis Hardin, Richard Roman, Andy Tucker and Tommy Anderson, alongside Odessa Police Officer Juliet Bostick, took part in the event.

All the first responders raised money for months to make the trip.

They climbed 110 stories in full gear to honor those first responders who died in the terrorist attacks.

Each of them carried a picture of one of the fallen responders as they made the climb.
