GREENWOOD, TX (KWES) - The Midland County Sheriff's Office arrested a man accused of an August aggravated robbery in Greenwood.
Authorities arrested James Hardee, 46, of Greenwood, on Thursday morning.
On August 31, authorities say a clerk was getting ready to open the store just before 6 a.m. when a masked gunman burst inside the store and demanded all the money.
According to the report, the gunman got away with less than $500 in cash along with a few other items.
Four citizens later identified the gunman as Hardee after surveillance video was released.
Authorities say further investigation revealed that Hardee was married to a former female employee of the Country Store and had knowledge of the store's operating procedures and location of the safe.
Authorities arrested Hardee without incident after officers with the Midland County Sheriff's Office, Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and Midland County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, executed a warrant for his house.
Officials also found several items linking Hardee to the robbery.
