Hobbs Convenience Store Held at Gunpoint

HOBBS, NM (KWES) -

Hobbs Police are looking for an armed robber who stole some beer.

The robbery happened at the Stripes Convenience Store on South Dal Paso around 1 Wednesday morning.

Police say the man walked into the store and headed straight for the beer section.

He grabbed an 18-pack and tried to leave without paying for it.

When store employees confronted him, surveillance video shows he pulled a gun out and pointed it right at them.

No one was hurt, but the thief did get away.

Police describe him as a Hispanic man, 5'7" to 5'10", 175 to 190 pounds with tattoos on his face and neck.

    Ector County Sheriff's Office have issued a warrant for 27-year-old Jesus Cajica Zermeno. Zermeno is accused of shooting and killing one man on the 12000 block of Citiation Drive and injuring another in mid-November.
