ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The Ector County School District has released the latest enrollment numbers following the start of classes for high school students.

3,710 students are enrolled at Odessa High and 3,410 at Permian.

Overall, the enrollment in the school district is 31,196.

According to school officials, that is 740 fewer students enrolled than the previous school year.

However, that number may be a little low.

School officials say some students have not been activated in their system and they may have a different number in a few days.
