1 Killed, 2 Injured in Glasscock County Accident

GLASSCOCK COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

An Alexandria, Louisiana, man is dead following a morning accident in Glasscock County.

The accident happened on State Highway 158 about 17 miles west of Garden City.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a 2014 Chevrolet 2500 HD was traveling east on Highway 158, failed to control speed and hit a 2007 Cub Cadet that was attempting to make a left turn onto a lease road.

The driver of the Chevrolet, James Grice, 32, of Alexandria, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say Grice wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Cadet, Rocky Rendon IV, 35 of Midland, Texas, and a passenger, Randy Galindo, 27, of Midland, were both taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
