One man is behind bars following a morning shooting in Andrews on Wednesday.
Andrews Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 900 block of Golf Course in reference to an altercation.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a Ford 4-door sedan with three people inside.
Authorities say during an argument, one subject was shot multiple times while sitting inside the vehicle.
That’s when the shooter, later identified as Pedro Franco, 37, ran from the vehicle and was later detained.
The victim that was shot was taken to Permian Regional Medical Center and was later airlifted to a Lubbock hospital. The victim’s condition is unknown and the victim’s name has not yet been released.
According to the report, Franco has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.
Police say a pistol believed to be used by Franco was also recovered by police.
