Midland Boy's Wish Granted After Three DPS Troopers Pay Him a Visit

When we were kids, many of us had dreams of becoming a firefighter, a doctor, an architect, or maybe an actor.

For one 6-year-old in Midland, his dream was to hang with DPS troopers while inside of a Dodge Charger patrol car.

Braidon Leyva's dad took to social media to get a hold of the right person to make his son's dream come true.

He didn't have much luck until Odessa Police pointed him in the direction of Sergeant Juan Spivey of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The phone rang Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon, not just one trooper came. Troopers Kristine Hannah, Brian Anderson and Mike Baskerville paid Braidon a visit.

Braidon got to try on a bullet proof vest, mingle with our local heroes, and yes - all while riding in a Dodge Charger patrol car.
