BREWSTER COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A critical member of the Brewster County Sheriff's Office has retired.
K-9 deputy Balak's retirement was announced Friday on the Brewster County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
His last day was Tuesday, August 25.
Balak served residents of Brewster County for eight years and helped deputies solve many cases.
He will spend his free time in a new home with one of the detention officers.
