ODESSA, TX (KWES) - A one-month-old infant that was found unresponsive in an Odessa home last week has passed away, Odessa Police say.
18-year-old Ember Lajuanie and 37-year-old Rendi Lajuanie are charged with six counts of child endangerment.
They are responsible for leaving the infant, Faith Pena, and four other children at a home in the care of a 10-year-old.
If convicted, they could face up to 20 years behind bars.
An emergency call was made for the baby on the 200 block of E. 89th Street when it was discovered she wasn't breathing.
The infant was flown to Lubbock in critical condition, and Saturday, Odessa Police released an update that Pena had passed away.
