Woman Leads Police on Chase in Midland County

MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - One woman is in big trouble after leading authorities on a chase on Wednesday.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, Midland Police were involved in a chase involving Stephanie Chambers.

Authorities say they were following Chambers on East County Road 120 when a deputy with the Midland County Sheriff's Department tried to block Chambers by slowing her down but they collided and caused chain reaction crash.

Chambers was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the officer in the vehicle was said to be ok.

Chambers will be ticketed for driving with an invalid license, previous convictions, disregarded stop sign, driving on an unapproved shoulder, unregistered vehicle and no insurance.

The exact cause as to how the chase started is unknown.
