UPDATE: "All Clear" Given at Odessa Store Following Bomb Threat

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The "all clear" has been given following a bomb threat report to an Odessa store on Tuesday morning.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the Dillard's store in the 4100 block of East 42nd Street just before 11:45 a.m.

Police say the victim reported an unknown male called Dillard's and threatened to drive into the store with a vehicle and inflict serious injury to employees and customers if he didn't receive his money.

We're told the store was evacuated along with a few nearby stores and a perimeter was set up.

The Odessa Police Department Bomb Squad Unit was called out to the scene and it was later determined that it was safe for the Dillard's store to reopen.

Police say the incident is currently being investigated as an attempted robbery.

So far, no arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
