TABC to Conduct Minor Alcohol Stings

TABC to Conduct Minor Alcohol Stings

As school is set to begin, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is looking to crack down on businesses selling alcohol to minors.

They'll be doing what's called minor alcohol stings in Texas counties with major universities or colleges including Odessa.

During the stings, a couple of TABC agents will go into a business with a minor and the minor will try and buy alcohol.

If they are successful, that business could face a fine or even have their license suspended.

The last operation of stings took place during the spring of this year.

They conducted 930 stings resulting in 92 violations across the state.
