Ector County Authorities Investigating Two Armed Robberies

The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is investigating following two armed robberies at the same store.

The first robbery happened early Friday morning at the 7-11 in the 10000 block of West University.

Store employees told authorities that a suspect walked into the store, walked up to the counter, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

According to the report, the clerk complied and the suspect ran out of the store and fled the store in a dark colored truck and drove north on Moss.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic man, about 5’3” tall wearing gray colored shorts, white tube socks, black and white Converse tennis shoes and a blue bandana covering his face. He was also wearing a ball cap with the word “Spurs” on the front.

The second robbery happened early Sunday morning at the same store.

Authorities say the clerk told officers that she was working behind the front counter, bent down to pick something and when she looked back up she saw a gun pointed at her.

The report stated that the suspect demanded money and the clerk complied.

The suspect fled from the store and ran west toward North Moss.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male, about 5’2” tall, 160 pounds, with black hair, a black thin mustache and dark brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a green or gray pull over sweater with a zipper and blue jean shorts.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance tapes of both robberies.
